Forum: etree Subject: Adding data files to flac files?

Hi, After downthemall> to X-Act... I manually relabel files
and I have a feeling I should be adding the file info like
Checksum, fingerprint, metadata etc, at the same time I go to decode a show? I'm talking Archive>DownThemAll>X-Act.

I'm I missing something?!!!

Thanks, Michael

I'm not sure what you're asking...you download the FLAC files with DownThemAll, then use xACT to decode them to AIFF for burning (or to mp3 for listening), right?

That's all you *really* need, especially if you're not going to be keeping the FLACs and just burning CDs or listening to mp3's. I'd recommend maybe grabbing the txt file so you at least have the recording info/track listing, but the md5/ffp files are really only useful if you're keeping/trading the FLACs (to verify they've been transferred/copied properly).

Is that what you wanted to know?
